X Café's specialty, though, is Ethiopian food. We had planned to order both the vegetarian combination ($8.25) and the meat combination ($10.50), but chef/owner Mulugeta Girma thought we might be overdoing it and suggested a single all-purpose platter, assembling three vegetable and two meat sauces. When we had demolished this but still had left over a few pieces of injera, that spongy Ethiopian flatbread, Girma offered to whip up an additional sauce for us, a spicy mushroom wat, which is listed on the menu at $5.95. >>more
