The food has subtle spices in things like stews and stir fries, served with the traditional bread, which you might recognise if you've been to Morocco and had those "pancakes" that look a bit like crumpets. I highly recommend the Ethiopian coffee, which is a bit like arabic coffee but darker roast (Kaffa in Ethiopia was of course where coffee drinking first began). Lovely owners and staff. It's good value even for Kentish Town (mains at c.£7.50) and certainly not a rip off, unless perhaps Haile is comparing it with the prices in Addis Ababa?! NB it doesn't open until 1.30 on Sundays but they did let us sit down with the decent £10 house red before then. ..." >>more
