Shlomo Bachrach
In the early 1960s he was teaching at Haile Sellassie University (Addis Ababa) and has international development experience in Ethiopia, Uganda, India and Nigeria where he was involved in starting several World Bank sponsored rural development programs. He is a Founding Board Member of the North American-Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce.
Shlomo was the Founder and President of Environmental Resources Group, a consulting firm that studied the local and regional environmental impact of economic development projects. He has worked as a consultant to firms bringing new environmental technologies to market, with a focus on renewable energy, energy conservation and pollution reduction.
Shlomo founded the East Africa Forum, the pre-eminent news and information service focusing on the region. He is well known in the Ethiopian diaspora as a respected friend of the country. >> more
