Highly popular among the neighborhood's Ethiopian/Eritrean community, this bright little eatery offers authentic cuisine of the Tigré region, in versions that are fully seasoned. The emphasis is on vegetables -- a fiery mushroom stew (kintishara) replaces the more usual kitfo (African "beef tartare"), providing much the same flavors, minus the raw-meat risks.
