    " Sandwiched between Domino's and a Chinese restaurant is this refreshingly different suburban eatery, run by Fekerte Tesfaye and her enthusiastic young team. In a bright and roomy space painted in terracotta and white, an olive green bar divides a dining area that's sparsely decorated with framed African artworks and woven baskets.

    Ethiopian cuisine, with its spicy, curry-like stews, immediately draws comparisons with Indian food. Ethiopian seasonings, however, tend to be simpler and overall less fiery. Still, these are filling and very tasty dishes, some more warming than others; the staff offer capable assistance with menu choices. A traditional meal is always accompanied by enjera, a thin, spongy flatbread used for scooping up meat and gravy. At Fekerte's, it's served with dishes like key wat: melt-in-your-mouth diced beef simmered with onion and an exotic chilli and pepper laden berbere sauce. Vegetarians are well catered for with salads, chickpea patties, pumpkin stew, and spiced lentil dishes.... " more >>
